Dragon
A contemporary dance inspired by the Chinese dragon myth. Six dancers transform between individual and collective forms, embodying a creature composed of many parts. Inspired by dragon boat rituals and ancient philosophy, the work introduces a robotic arm as a competing “dragon, ” creating tension between human movement and mechanical precision. In the final section, body and machine merge into a hybrid form, reflecting on the evolving relationship between humanity, nature and technology.
