The Courtyard Theatre is in the heart of the cultural capital of Shoreditch, London. Homed in the historic Passmore Library Building. 5 minutes walk from Old street and Liverpool Street underground station, and 7 minutes walk from Shoreditch High Street and Hoxton Overground station. Offering two spaces in the venue The Studio is a spacious 216 standing capacity for music and studio theatre with soundproofing, raised stage and modular flexibility. The studio is perfect for rocking out to bands in an intimate and energetic space, next door to our atmospheric bar. Upstairs our theatre space, a large main house theatre with seating for 120 in our modular raked seating system. Perfect for inspiring theatre shows, solo musicians/songwriters, captivating panel talks, screenings and much more. The venues bar is open 1 hour before performance and after the show up to 11pm.
