Transparency is a new solo theatre show that dives deep into the everyday life of a transgender male through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of a northern working class family. Whilst Jack navigates the hurdles of transition, the old family dynamics are shaken up.
We journey through the uncomfortable, sobering and intriguing journey of a fully human transgender life, breaking down the barriers between us, and opening up a new conversation.
The performance is written and performed by Halifax based artist Jaden Adams, supported by director Francesca Murray-Fuentes, writer Mary Cooper and acting coach Olwen May.
(The storyline is not a representation of Jaden’s life or his family, but is based on real people and real experiences.)
"An emotive solo performance packed with passion and playfulness. Jaden Adams is a star of the stage!" ★★★★★ North West End UK
"Moving, funny and genuinely insightful" ★★★★ Northern Soul
