Sacred Bath is a playful exploration of body ownership, consent, safety, and spirituality. Blending poetry, movement, storytelling, and humor. This solo is also a ritual and a manifesto
that challenges societal norms and invites audiences to reconsider their freedom and the ownership of their fire.
The performance serves as a ritualistic quest for unconditional love, pushing boundaries and creating a vulnerable space between strangers.
This autobiographical piece (in Portuguese and English) tackles objectification and issues around trust, navigating the complexities of sexuality influenced by culture and religion over the centuries. Exposing the blurry lines of consent, the show addresses the seeds of guilt and shame planted in our bodies since childhood, culminating in self-abandonment. With care, gentleness, and lightness, Sacred Bath is an invitation to a collective healing.
Audience testimonies:
"Poignant", "Light and deep.", "Touching, relevant, and needed."
"It helped me to put into perspective my past."
"I was moved unimaginably by this performance. It was so authentic and believable you almost forget it was just one person on stage. Such talent and clearly so thoughtfully considered and written."
