Pity Parade

PaperBoat Theatre

Pity Parade is a one-woman show about identity, belonging and the quiet strength it takes to find connection in a world that often feels out of reach.
After the death of her short-term boyfriend Olga is consumed by feelings of inadequacy and alienation, questioning whether her grief is valid in the shadow of his family and lifelong friends. As she prepares a speech for his funeral, Olga confronts her past choices, her place in an unfamiliar city, and the loneliness of living between cultures.

Performed by Polish actress Magdalena Puchalska, this won the award for Best Theatrical Script at the SITFY International Theatre Festival in Kraków Poland.
