Fathering in the Age of the Apocalypse

Hobbes and Hades

One show. Two dads. Thirteen years of questionable life choices.

In 2013, Tom and Haydn made a pact: they would have children as long-form character research for a 60-minute comedy show about the collapse of civilisation. Now, thirteen years of sleep deprivation and school runs later, they’ve arrived at the Camden Fringe to collect their 10% box office split.

Tom wants a sophisticated, barbed autopsy of the geopolitical landscape—think The Rest is Politics with more panic. Haydn wants to shield himself from the end of days mainly with wigs, maybe some hats.
What follows is a high-stakes clash between intentionality and anarchy. A show for anyone who fears for their children’s future, even if they were sired for comedy purposes, or anyone who suspects the apocalypse might just be one long Sunday afternoon with nothing to watch on Netflix.

Come for the promise of light entertainment. Stay for the safety of being underground.
