Joshua Robertson: Enable Me

Lee Martin for Gag Reflex

Camden Comedy Club

Enable Me explores the ups and downs of being a disabled dad and family life. Drawn from Joshua’s experiences, he sheds a unique light on daily life through a once able bodied person’s eyes.

Joshua Robertson is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Joshua had a quad bike accident at 11 that left him in a coma for months and now lives with a physical disability. He was told he would never walk or talk again. Now, he is now a professional stand up, touring across the country and performing in the UK’s top venues.

Joshua started performing stand-up comedy at nineteen and has performed shows at the Brighton Fringe, Camden Fringe and the Adelaide Fringe Festival. He has also been a support act for Tom Stade and Shappi Khorsandi.

Joshua featured in the BBC Three series, Amazing Humans, and the All4 series, Jokes Only Disabled People Can Tell. DAD JOKE, a comedy short film which Joshua co-wrote with David Abramsky and stars in, was commissioned by the BFI NETWORK and Film London. It premiered at the BFI London Film Festival.
