Following the success of their podcast Real Album Reviews, John and Christian are at The Hope Theatre to present their favourite childhood TV show: Battle Counters!
The show's protagonist, a boy called Cal Counters, feels wasted in his hometown of Letterville. In a hero's journey you've seen a thousand times, Cal must defy his mother, learn from his grandfather, meet friends along the way, and finally defeat Count Numbers, the ruler of Countovia, in the ancient game of Battle Counters.
There'll be music. There'll be laughs. There'll be messy costume changes. And you better believe there'll be counters. If you're looking for deep, thought-provoking theatre, this is probably not the hour for you.
