We Wild Things
Chasing Constellations
"Have you really never seen a man?
. . .Would you like to?"
Mira has never met a man. Cal has never left The Island. Shipwrecked alone in this magical, solitary place, Mira convinces Cal to help her escape in exchange for her teaching him about the world outside. As they begin to understand each other, something strong and dangerous grows between them. But after a decade apart, that something is broken and the island is crumbling around them.
Inspired by William Shakespeare's The Tempest, WE WILD THINGS explores the cost of losing the people who define you. This feminist, lyrical play examines the relationship between desire and power, between men and women, and between the world we live in and the way we treat it.
WE WILD THINGS was developed with the support of the Royal Court Theatre.
