Jack In The Box
AThespian Theatre Company
Is it fair to stop living for something that's dying?
Sixteen months ago, the doctor said six. Jack is still here.
Changing diapers. Counting pills. Watching the person who raised them disappear one night at a time, one bell at a time, while their own life waits somewhere outside the door.
Jack In The Box is a psychologically driven solo performance about the cost of staying. About love that has curdled into routine. About grief with no name because the person is still breathing. About someone holding everything together so tightly they can no longer feel their own hands.
Brutal. Tender. Uncomfortably funny.
Written & Performed by Rudra Bhawadwaj
Directed by Nance Turner
