The Roost

The Roost is a new pop-up venue at Unit 62, the Triangle, on Church Street. The Roost follows the Cockpit’s ethos of “ideas and disruptive panache” and provides artists with a studio performance space, particularly aimed at Camden Fringe Festival.
The Roost is a 30 seat, multi-purpose space, both in terms of performance and community function. We are particularly looking for theatre for children, artists that connect with the area, performance and experimental art, as well as a variety of early career theatre makers.
By day, we will be a hub for children’s and family theatre for the Camden Fringe. By night, we will host a variety of small-scale performances, such as comedy, spoken word, one person shows, and performance art.
The roost will offer an affordable performance space, access to the Cockpit’s studios at a discounted rate, and a limited number of bursaries to use the space for free. Please inquire for bursary application info.
We will continue our Cockpit mission to be a space for early-career and established professionals alike. The Roost will be somewhat of a stepping stone between the Cockpit and the wider theatre community.
The Roost is operating the 11th-24th of August, 2025.
