The White Lotus is a bilingual, movement-led production that explores British-Chinese identity through the parallel journeys of pioneering dancer Dai Ailian and a contemporary British-Chinese artist navigating her cultural heritage.

Inspired by traditional shadow puppetry, the expressive language of Chinese opera, and the meditative flow of ink painting, the piece weaves together themes of legacy, intergenerational trauma, and cultural connection across time and space.
