The Space They’re In
Caterham Rep

Teenagers.
They're too sensitive, too careless, too dramatic. They don't appreciate their youth, they don't understand how hard things used to be and they don't care enough about the world. They complain. They cry. They don't tidy their rooms. They hand in their homework late and sometimes they're talking to more than one boy at once.
The Space They’re In reclaims the narratives around being young, the spaces in which they exist, and what that means. What is it really like being a teenager in a world that inflicts violence upon you, imposes endless double standards and expects you to fix the problems created by your predecessors?
Devised by the group with inspiration taken from their own lives and experiences, The Space They're In is a funny, heartfelt and unflinching look at being a teenager in 2025.
