Shakespeare’s Guise

Jot Theatre

What if Shakespeare was really a group of women?

Shakespeare’s Guise is set in a “what if” world where a group of ambitious female writers decide to use a pseudonym to put on their brand-new play! Although based on Elizabethan England, modern music and language will bring their stories right up to date in a world where women still make up the minority of published writers in British Theatres.

Explored through puppetry, physical theatre and clowning, Shakespeare’s Guise is a celebration of women's voices and female friendship brought to you by an all-female cast. So come join us on a journey as we tackle the highs and lows, the fun and frustrations of being a woman.
