Rabbie Burns’ Bottom Drawers
Christine Weir

This play, set in 1796, is an imagined recital of Robert Burns' comic and erotic writings. After his untimely death, his housekeeper discovered his unpublished works, which were locked away in a bottom drawer.
The play includes songs such as 'Nine Inch Will Please A Lady' and 'The Fornicator', and a
rousing 'Auld Lang Syne' with which the audience are encouraged to join in.
It is performed by Christine Weir and Jeremy Claydon and directed by Clare Stopford.
