Please Shoot the Messenger
Rachael Dowsett

A small and hopeful messenger. The odds of the world stacked against them.
“The King will not be able to see someone like you... someone like me.”
There’s a plague. Everyone is worried. Everyone is in turmoil. Everyone is panicking. Everyone except for the King’s newest messenger. Why on earth would they be in turmoil, when they can find and deliver the cure to become the greatest messenger of all? One small catch - the position of the King’s messenger is cursed. But it’s okay! Surely with the help of doctors, friends, foes, and some of the most famous messengers of all - everything will be okay right! ... Right?
Written and performed by recent LAMDA Acting graduate, Rachael Dowsett, Please Shoot the Messenger is a fast paced, fun and witty solo show featuring an array of dynamic characters, Shakespeare, clowning, and physical comedy. The show combines laugh out loud moments with a heartwarming journey of determination, proving that even in adverse circumstances, joy can be found.
