Late Night Submarine

Yaqi Sun

Step into a quiet, dreamlike world beneath the surface.
Late Night Submarine is a sound-led immersive experience where audiences wear silent disco headphones and drift through a series of sensory spaces shaped by memory, imagination, and sound. Inspired by the novel Nighttime Submarine, the show follows a young girl who escapes the noise and conflict at home by diving into an imagined deep-sea sanctuary.
Every day sounds - family arguments, rainfall, market chatter - morph into underwater echoes, layered with sonar pings, ambient textures, and fragments of childhood games. As you move through shifting lights and intimate spaces, you’ll find yourself submerged in someone else’s memories, and maybe your own.
Gentle, poetic, and deeply atmospheric, Late Night Submarine offers a moment of stillness for anyone who’s ever longed to disappear for a while.
Let the world fade. Drift into the deep, and find your quiet.
