Gallows and Children

Rebel Company

Children, have you fed the Gallow?

Inspired by the resistance of the 1970s in Turkey and the global fight for justice, this universal tale reflects shared experiences across nations and time, questioning whether the urge of resistance is eternal.
"Gallows and Children" is a visceral and urgent exploration of power, resistance, and the cost of revolution. The play unfolds in two distinct yet colliding worlds: the grotesque, absurd realm of politicians—where power is twisted into spectacle—and the raw, physical world of student revolutionaries, driven by poetry, slogans, and the urgency of their cause. At the heart of it all stands the gallows, appearing and disappearing like a haunting specter, a constant reminder of the game that is being played.
