Furnace

Blackthorn Theatre Company / Tom Levermore

On the eve of their anniversary, Daniel and Emily's not so romantic occasion, it is revealed that Emily has secretly been having an affair with her older boss, Stephen. The three are thrust into an evening of aggravated small talk, with hatred smouldering behind the eyes and passive aggressive jabs turning sincere like the striking of a match.

The play looks to hold an honest mirror to modern relationships and show their faults in clear display. From Incel culture, to social climbing and modern expectations of gender roles.

Watch the destruction of a relationship, as the heat starts to rise. Blackthorn proudly present their 3rd offering in as many years at the Camden Fringe. Following successful productions 'Heretic/Gallows' and 'Betsy Bares All', the team aim to make Furnace a firestorm of raw performance.

"Danny, turn up the heat."
