"Back to the Moon" is a one-woman show that challenges the barriers of language and explores different ways of communicating. The play follows the story of a young woman who is stuck in a dream set in a surreal theater. It all starts when she enters with a torch, running away from a nightmare where someone was trying to send her to the moon. Although the play is in English, it's not in a traditional English way. Rather, it will be a journey of finding (or not finding) connection and meaning in nonsense. The play uses physical comedy, a rich soundscape, and surreal situations to provide a creative and different perspective on the experiences of migration.
After being awarded Sydenham Arts' START: Creative Futures seed grant, this is the world premiere of Back to the Moon.
